My wife and I have used this Recumbaent Bike now for about 2 months. This is a well built, strong piece of equipment. I would expect to see this unit in a hotel exercise room. Sole makes a less expensive unit, but I have found that the equipment built for commercial use is likely to perform better and last longer. This bike needs no external power for the display (no power cord to connect). You generate the electricity it needs to make the display and the resistance levels work. The exercise modes are not overdone. No biking in Paris, or London, or the streets of San Francisco! There is a "custom" mode that allows you to choose when resistance changes and how extreme the resistance levels are thoughout the session. There are a number of basic modes to choose from, so custom setup is not necessary, but is available in the "custom" setting. We have found that the instruction booklet does not explain the "custom" setup perfectly clearly. However, I do... Read more

I would have give the Sole LCR a 5 but some of the assembly was a bear. I have assembled many such bikes and treadmills over the last 20 years and this was the hardest. The actual tasks were straight forward but due to the engineering and fit of the parts connecting them was difficult. For instance the cover for the rear feet has to snap into place before one can screw it in. I was not able to do this immediately since the circular openings in the plastic cover do not line up with the metal bars. One has to with great effort snap them into place. I was afraid that the part would break when snapped into place but luckily it did not.

Also, the electronic console connects to the front mast with four screws. The screws must line up precisely with metal threaded sleeves embedded within the console. The problem is that console connection point is recessed about an inch. . Still this would not have been difficult if one was not instructed to install the front handlebars first. The... Read more

Got it couple of weeks ago. So far had no issues. Very easy to assemble. Had to call service to get replacement for small plastic part that was crashed during delivery. They called me back immediately (actually they called me twice, first time I couldn't answer) and sent required part next day. Good service.

Bike has great number of resistance levels. I'm just a beginner so for my training programs I'm using about 15% of max resistance.
I'm over 6' and I have no issues adjusting it or using it. My wife is 5'6" and she initially complained about ipod holder that gets in a way when she works out.

Overall it looks and feels like a professional equipment. Excellent product so far

Technology

  • Pedal design: The ergonomic design of all SOLE stationary bikes is unique because of a specific pedal feature. A two-degree inward cant on the pedal prevents aches in your knees and feet by aligning the joints in their correct posture during a workout.
  • Adjustable seating: Allows the user to move forward and backward on the seat, as well as the back rest.
  • Display: Easy console viewing prevents workout frustrations, displaying workout info on a large screen.
  • Frame: A strong, durable frame is vital for light commercial bikes to hold up to repeated use by multiple people. Heavy steel tubing, along with aluminum shroud, makes SOLE bikes practically indestructible, but also light and manageable. Two wheels in the front act as touch points, and make moving the bike easy and convenient.
